Imagine if you could combine tech innovation with Pokémon Go, all in the hopes of winning a Traxx Drone worth $400? That is exactly what Invensense is inviting you to be a part of at the two-day-long IoT hackathon, taking place at the Santa Clara Convention Center on the 20-21st October. It’s objective is to explore the next generation of connected devices and solutions in a relaxed environment that encourages you to innovate and create. The best part about it? It’s completely free to enter.

Form teams, explore ideas and build prototypes using sensortech for a panel of industry expert judges all with the help of knowledgeable mentors who will be on hand during the two-day challenge. Judges will be looking for innovation, creativity and something with that little bit extra – now is your time to show them something they have never seen before!

The IoT Hackathon will not only provide you with the opportunity to win exciting prizes but gain early access to new development platforms, hardware and earn industry recognition from some of the leading IoT product and service providers in the marketplace.

The Challenge

InvenSense invites you to create/recognize/score your best Pokémon Go “curved ball” 3D gesture! This is not a touch based gesture but a real one, 3D gesture! Join the IoT Hackathon and learn more about InvenSense SensorStudio, how to develop, and visualize your algorithms in real time.

Show us your signal processing & advanced mathematics skills, applied to embedded processing (Cortex M4 target). Every developer will get a Development Kit for SensorStudio (Windows® only, for now).

The Prize

The best Pokémon “curved ball” 3D gesture will win a Traxx drone with a 2-axis gimbal for aerial photo/video assistance with Film, Sport, & Expert modes and a Pokémon Go Poke Ball shaped battery charger!
