Gradis has been operating on the lighting market since March 2014, as a “spin-off” founded by the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow. AGH is currently the largest technical university in Poland and one of the best in the rankings. The core of the Gradis management are the scientists of AGH. Gradis places the main emphasis on innovative research and development works and their commercialization. Gradis IT systems and approach to tender processes is a product and process innovation on a global scale. Thanks to the effectiveness of the innovative system, Gradis has won many domestic tenders, as well as an international tender announced by the city of Tbilisi in Georgia (project covering c.a. 100 thousand lighting points). The use of an artificial intelligence gives Gradis a valuable competitive advantage on the market. Gradis projects are more effective than the competitive projects by an average of 30%, which has been proved in numerous tenders. Gradis has received several international awards for the innovation of its products. Gradis scientific works are co-financed by the National Center for Research and Development (NCBiR), Malopolskie Centre of Entrepreneurship (MCP) and Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH). The Gradis IT system is regularly used by one of the world’s largest lighting manufacturers, Schröder Company. Schröder Company performs large lighting projects using the Gradis system in the SaaS formula. It is also worth mentioning that one of the largest players on the renewable energy market, a Dutch company KIC Inno Energy, holds shares in Gradis
