In the last years of my studies I gained more knowledge on the topic of digital innovation, which led me to think more critically about the digital trends that emerge around us and why certain innovations have more success over others, in which I specially focused on IoT devices. Smart devices can be pretty cool and can make our lives a lot more efficient. However, with the rise of these convenient devices, we also welcome unwanted intruders with them.

In my role as a junior security engineer/ graduate, I focus on the vulnerabilities behind network devices and its systems. I believe that most important is that we should be more conscious of what we decide to connect to our networks and into our homes. During my panel discussion “Acting Ahead of the Threat”, I would like to discuss these vulnerabilities and how we can limit them.
