Business economist Dirk-Jan de Bruijn (1959) has spent the last three and a have decades realizing changes in the public domain. He is passionate about changing a plate of spaghetti into a dish of asparagus… or lasagne.

Over the years he has specialized in the implementation of network leadership, with a central position for societal tasks rather than the institution; focusing on value creation! One of his achievements was organizing the European Truck Platooning Challenge (under the umbrella of the Dutch EU Presidency), driving with convoys of all truck manufactures through Europe on our public roads. Another was the ‘Experience Week Connected Transport’ in which first steps in the connection between logistics and traffic management were realized.

At the moment he is in charge of the deployment of Modal Shift (containers from the road à barge) on the corridors Rotterdam-Venlo and Rotterdam-Arnhem/Nijmegen.
