In this role I’m leading the strategic Royal HaskoningDHV Digital Twin agenda. With Digital Twins being central to the company-wide strategy across Consulting, Engineering and Software propositions, I’m responsible for portfolio development and market positioning in key sectors such as Industry, Water, Maritime, Mobility (Aviation, Rail etc.) and Infrastructure. I get my energy from cocreating Digital Twins with our clients and partners to drive a sustainable future!

Digital Twins connect the physical and digital worlds in a way that no other solution can. They create an accessible source of reliable data that provides a single version of the truth, and the information you need to make better decisions. This can be for static locations and assets such as tunnels, as well as dynamic situations like traffic flows, water treatment and manufacturing processes.

At Royal HaskoningDHV we combine our 140 years of deep domain knowledge with the latest digital technologies and software to cocreate Digital Twins with our clients and partners. In turn, capturing the essence of innovation to drive solutions to global issues such as climate change.

Personally, through my earlier career in operations excellence and simulation modelling, I developed a passion for innovation (digital innovation in particular). By combining the growing availability of data with existing technologies and services to solve problems (always starting with a problem to be solved!), I was hooked by the value Digital Twins could bring.

What I find particularly exciting about our Digital Twins at RHDHV is that they enable us to both design the best solutions, but then also ensure our clients get the most from their assets and processes throughout their lifecycle. This creates both environmental and economic sustainability, in line with our ethos of ‘enhancing society together’, and enables constructive steps forward with regards to some of the most pressing global issues.
