Daniel Barnes is Chief Operating Officer at Bright.Blue and Bright.Green, where he helps lead the development and deployment of connected technology across smart retail, unattended commerce, EV infrastructure and digital customer experiences.
As one of Bright.Blue’s earliest team members, Dan has been closely involved in shaping the company’s operational and commercial foundations from the start. His role spans operational strategy, product delivery, financial oversight, technical implementation, customer experience, supplier coordination and the practical realities of scaling connected hardware into live commercial environments.
Before joining Bright.Blue and Bright.Green, Dan spent more than two decades at TUI, holding numerous senior leadership roles across finance, commercial operations and business transformation. During that time, he built deep experience in large-scale operational delivery, financial planning, performance management, governance and customer-facing infrastructure within one of the world’s leading travel groups.
At Bright.Blue and Bright.Green, Dan now applies that experience to the next generation of connected infrastructure, helping bring together IoT-enabled hardware, digital payments, remote monitoring, advertising capability, customer data, digital receipts and operational systems into scalable real-world deployments.
