Robert B. Trask, PE, a Systems Architect at BECKHOFF since 2003 and facilitates automation systems planning for leading machine builders and manufacturers. A seasoned presenter on new automation technologies, Trask has led numerous leading edge technological projects at Beckhoff, including the advancement of innovative concepts such as PLC OOP, Industrie 4.0, IIoT, and cloud-connected manufacturing systems. Trask is also the North American Representative for the EtherCAT Technology Group. Trask holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University and has 30 years of experience with automation, industrial controls, and systems planning. Trask is a registered professional engineer.
