Greg Carter is the SVP/GM of Acuity Brands’ Connected Building Software Business. This includes three software brands focused on using the Internet of Things (IoT) to improve both Building and Business performance.
Lucid is the software business focused on improving building performance through a market leading cloud-based building analytics and application platform called BuildingOS_ as well as DGLux, an application enablement platform used to build custom visualizations and control application based on streaming building data.
Atrius provides software services leveraging sensor and location data from sensory networks made up of Atrius enabled lighting and building systems infrastructure. These solutions allow customers to understand what is happening in their buildings and use those insights to improve employee efficiency, business processes, customer and occupant experience
DGLogik provides IoT middleware and application enablement software to support customers in integrating data sources beyond buildings and delivering powerful applications
Before joining Acuity Brands, Greg led Cisco’s IoT Services Group, a global team that developed and delivered IoT solutions for verticals like Utilities, Smart Cities, Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, Transportation and Healthcare. Greg has twenty years of experience in the technology industry leading software and services teams and was the founding partner in a consulting firm specializing in technology strategy and application development.
Greg started his career and gained his initial experiences in operational technology requirements as a United States Naval Officer. He holds a BA from Duke University, as well as BS and MS engineering degrees from the University of Texas at Austin.
