Sudhir Sharma is the Director of High Tech Industry Strategy and Marketing at ANSYS. He is leading the company’s Internet of Things (IoT) initiative. Prior to joining ANSYS, he held leadership positions at MathWorks, Texas Instruments, Cirrus Logic, and Compaq. Sudhir has led engineering teams through design of more than a dozen mixed-signal ASICs, GPUs, and mobile application processors. He also launched and led MathWorks’ HDL code generation and verification business. Sudhir co-founded Engim, Inc., a pioneer in wideband Wi-Fi communications and helped launch Pixel Semiconductor, later acquired by Cirrus Logic. He holds 19 U.S. patents for innovative wireless communication, computer networking, video & image processing, and semiconductor memory designs. Sudhir earned an MBA from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and MS and BS degrees in electrical engineering from Southern Methodist University and Mississippi State University, respectively.
