Presentation: Enterprise Continuity @ Netflix
Enterprise continuity is essential to any organization, including Netflix, as it ensures that the business can continue operating despite unexpected disruptions, such as natural disasters, cyber-attacks, or other incidents that could impact the organization’s ability to provide services to its customers.
Taking Netflix’s unique culture into account, we have developed an adaptive model and methodology for the Enterprise Continuity (EC) program to identify where our critical assets are, determine how resilient they need to be, measure how resilient they currently are, and provide guidance on how to increase their resilience when and if needed.
This methodology includes the following:
- Educating leadership and asset owners on their resilience and continuity posture
- Developing a dependencies map to identify areas of unseen risk as it relates to continuity
- Providing guidance and mitigation expertise to asset owners who require it.
- Identifying best practices across teams by sharing context gathered from continuity assessments
